Our Blog
Hey, fanatics!
If you haven't noticed, it's been a little difficult to release our issues these past few months. We've been spending a lot of time focusing on school and other issues that have come up. Therefore, I've decided that we needed to take a break for a while. We're going to take this time to renovate ourselves, and the first step is building up our team. If you're interested, please apply to the team by using the application form. If you were having problems with your application before, I recently fixed one of the text boxes. Feel free to try again! This won't be the last time you'll hear from us. We're still going to work behind the scenes; we're just going to discontinue our monthly releases for a while. You'll still be able to contact us through our social media. This isn't going to be the end of Loquaciousness! Have a great St. Patrick's Day, everyone! We'll see you soon. -Hannah N. and the team

Hey fanatics! I hope all of you are enjoying December! Last week on our #FandomMagazineFriday, we released our third issue after two months of inactivity. You can read it by clicking on the image below. I'd also like to welcome our newest intern, Abena-Adora Gwin! A few of her fandoms are Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Legend.
On the subject of new interns, we've recently created a community where anyone interested in becoming a member of our team can join. If you'd like to be a part of the Loquaciousness team, feel free to join this community! We've also started doing a countdown to 2017 called 31 Days of Loquaciousness! Everyday until January 1, we post edits with questions. On our #SaturdaySpecials, we post challenges instead of questions. Join us as we countdown to 2017, and share your answers with the hashtag #31DaysofLoquaciousness. Hey, fanatics!
It's Hannah here. Today, I'd like to welcome our newest contribution to the team: Vi! Congratulations! She's amazing, and we're all super excited to work with her. Some of the fandoms she'll be writing for are Harry Potter, Maximum Ride, Once Upon a Time, and Welcome to Night Vale. She also has two websites that you should definitely check out; one is a fandom blog and the other is a series called Welcome To Highland City. As you may have guessed, her Google+ profile includes a lot of fandom posts. She also has aesthetics, writing pieces, and a lot more. Be sure to follow her there! Another thing to mention: I'm super super sorry for skipping September and October. I promise we're doing the best we can, but all of us have been super busy with school lately. To make up for it, we're going to be shaking things up a bit with this November issue. Stay tuned for our next release on the 25! Once again, thank you to Vi for joining the team. We hope you enjoy being a part of Loquaciousness! Until next time. -Hannah N. Hello, fanatics!
First of all, I'd like to apologize for skipping September's issue as I mentioned on our social media. But don't worry - we're working on making our October edition spooky and spectacular! I'd also like to wish one of our amazing members, Luke Goldscar, a very happy birthday! Hello, everyone. Quilava the Flamethrower here(also known as Tiffany Yep). Today is September 11th, 2016, the anniversary of what is known to Americans and around the world as 9/11. On this day fifteen years ago, 2,996 people lost their lives, and over 6,000 people were injured. On this day, four planes were hijacked-American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and United Airlines Flight 93. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, at 8:46 AM UTC, American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York, and was initially received as a tragic accident. On the morning of September 11th, 2016, at 9:03 AM UTC, United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York, live on television, to the horror of millions of viewers. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, at 9:37 AM UTC, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, at 10:03 AM UTC, United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a field in Stonycreek Township near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, as a result of the passengers rebelling against the hijackers. On September 11th, 2001, President George W. Bush declared war on the Islamic terrorist group, al-Qaeda, and all terrorists. Not Muslims. Terrorist. Whether they are Asian, African American, Caucasian, Mexican, Latino, or any ethnicity, no matter their religion or skin color or nationality. Many of us were too young to remember what we were doing that day, and some of us weren't even born yet. But for others, they do remember. They remember the disbelief they felt when the North Tower was hit. They remember the shock when they realized that the crashes were intended when the South Tower was hit. They remember the horror they felt when they heard that the Pentagon had been hit, one of the most protected and most important buildings on the country. They remember the sorrow they felt for the lost innocents who had not given up hope or their will to fight for their lives and freedom, but had given their lives instead in that field. They remember the true terror their felt when the towers collapsed, killing even more people. Lower Manhattan was like a battlefield covered in ash and debris. It WAS a battlefield. It was the first battle in the war against terrorism. And the Americans had lost that battle. But we haven't lost the war. The entire world fights a war against terrorism. The battles were never expected, but they were fought everywhere. They were fought in 2013 in the Boston Marathon bombings and shootings. They were fought in 2015 in the Paris Attacks. And they haven't stopped. September 11th is marked as a special day in history for everyone, and not in a positive way. But together we can and will defeat terrorist to prevent it from happening again. We must learn about 9/11 and remember 9/11 to remember-we are at war. But we must not forget who the real enemies are. Not Muslims. Not women who wear a hijab. Terrorist.
So, all of you. Promise yourself, and your country, to remember September 11th, 2001. If you were alive then, or not. If possible, remember what you did that day, how you felt. Remember what you've learned about the attacks since. Remember the 2,996 people who died that day. Remember our real target, the people who really wage war against us. So let's have a moment of silence to remember those people. Let's have a moment of silence to ponder these words, and to honour those firefighters and paramedics and heroes who risked and gave their lives to try and save people on that day. Thank you. You will never be forgotten. ~🔥Quilava the Flamethrower🔥 and the rest of the Loquaciousness Magazine Team The Loquaciousness team has another big announcement to make: we decided to create a YouTube channel! We uploaded our very first YouTube video, Meet the Loquaciousness Team!, four days ago. You can check that out below if you'd like. Keep in mind that we are not very experienced with the YouTube world, so I apologize if this is bad quality. Thank you so much for watching, and-
WAIT! Don't leave yet! As many of you probably know, YouTube has a new policy that might have a major effect on some YouTubers. Two of our team members, Julie Jones and Luke Goldscar, have decided to join the #YouTubeisOverParty and discuss YouTube's huge decision. Hello everybody, and happy late August! Yesterday we published our second issue of Volume 2, a back-to-school edition! If you haven't already, you can check it out by clicking the image below. As mentioned in the issue, we will be starting to post brand new reviews right here on the blog! (Late reviews and submitted reviews will not be included on the blog.)
For our first review, Luke Goldscar gives his opinion on the new DC movie, Suicide Squad. It's two days late for this post, but it's still worth blogging about. On July 31, 2016, we released our first issue of Volume 2! YAY! We can now use a divider on our Issues page! Exciting, wouldn't you say?
Anyway, I really hope you liked this issue. You can vote here, and make sure you're not just voting for your fandom (although we all want to do it). We would really like you to vote on which fandom you think answered the questions the best. Either way, I want to thank you so much for electing! It really means a lot to me and the rest of the team. What do you think of the magazine? You can leave your opinions down here in the comments or use this contact form. Once again, thank you! Have a happy time reading! -Hannah P.S. See if you can find the secret message I put in the magazine, although it is very irrelevant and doesn't really make sense. :P Hello fellow fanatics! Have any of you been on our social account lately? If you didn't see yesterday, I posted a picture of the date on the Loquaciousness Instagram: Which might be a tiny bit random, but if you visited our About Us page, you would've seen a little fun fact about Loquaciousness... Oh, what was that? Still not quite getting it... Oh...! Oh, what? It was formed on July 25? Wasn't that...yesterday? Wait a second...doesn't that mean...*gasp*. Yes, today is Loquaciousness's first anniversary!! Same, Kermit, same.
But in all seriousness, this is a huge milestone for me and every single person who was, or is still in, the fandom magazine. And it couldn't have happened without you. If we were receiving no views, votes, comments, opinions, or anything like that, we would've stopped a long time ago. We were actually very close to shutting down, in fact. So thank you very very much for keeping us in check, even if you didn't know it. Once again, thank you so much for reading, visiting our page, and just being a fan. I'll see you very soon with another issue, and until then, or possibly sooner, goodbye! -HANNAH! A VERY EXCITED FANGIRL! Hey everybody!
This is Hannah, writing her very first post on the Loquaciousness blog. As you can see, I have given the website a complete makeover. I have created new pages, like Work Submissions and Affiliate Request and deleted some pages to make the website a little more compact. What do you think of the website's new look? Let us know in the comments or use the new contact form. I'd love to hear your thoughts. We are also renovating all of our social media accounts, so make sure to follow our Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and Facebook! (Did you guys notice that I didn't say Google+? We're going to be making some BIG changes soon.) Anyway, thank you so much for reading. Bye! -Hannnnnnah |
